Age Verification at VAPSTORE®: Ensuring Compliance with Legal Requirements

At VAPSTORE®, we have always prioritized child protection. Due to recent changes in the Youth Protection Act, we are now legally required to verify the age of our customers before selling certain products, as these may only be purchased by individuals of legal age.

What Products Does This Apply To?

With the expansion of the ban on selling tobacco products to minors, the same rules now apply to e-cigarettes and electronic shisha. This means that these products cannot be sold to anyone under the legal age in Germany and other EU countries. To comply, we need to confirm your age both before completing your order and upon delivery.

How We Handle Age Verification

To make this process as simple as possible, VAPSTORE® has set up a smooth, automated age verification system:

New Customers & Guest Orders

When you place an order as a new customer or as a guest, we’ll verify your age using the address and date of birth you provide. After selecting your payment method, your details will be securely transmitted to SCHUFA, where they are compared to a large database to verify your age. This verification is automated and requires no extra effort beyond a single click.

Returning & Regular Customers

Once your age is successfully verified, the system will save this information in your customer account. This means that you won’t need to go through the verification process again on future orders. Your account will be updated, and your order will be processed as usual.

What Happens If Age Verification Fails?

If the age verification process fails despite you being of legal age, there may be several reasons for this:

• A typo in your address or date of birth: Make sure you enter your correct information.
• You are not listed in the SCHUFA database (this has nothing to do with financial issues).

In such cases, you can send us a photo of your ID for manual verification. Simply use the “Help” or “Chat” button in the bottom-right corner of the page to contact us. Our team will verify your ID, and activation is usually completed within a few minutes during business hours.
